Mike’s Space Autumn 2016

POSTED ON March 10, 2016 @ 11:29 am

It’s hard to believe that we are already into autumn and 2016 is in full swing.

Here at Golf Industry Central we have been doing a full review of our business from 2015 and getting prepared for what looks to be a massive 2016!

Education and growing the game are the topics for this e-mag, with several events taking us around the country, New Zealand and Asia this year.

New Zealand

The biennial GMA conference is being held in Wellington this August, along with the GM also providing a BMI Certification course leading up to the conference in April and June. Save heaps of money in not having to travel to the US to take the course there!

Golf Business Forum

The Forum is a two-day educational event designed to bring together operators and owners in the golf industry who serve the public golfer. A list of presenters and details are to be found later in this publication.

Gregg and Norm Roadshow

Gregg Patterson and Norm Spitzig, whom many of you already know, are bringing their two-person roadshow to Australia and New Zealand. I’ll be traveling around as their “chaperon” for the five day, 5 city, UP CLOSE AND PERSONAL Tour.

Bill Yates – Pace of Play guru

Bill Yates is the renowned Pace of Play expert coming to Melbourne to present at the Golf Business Forum. This is his first time ever in Australia and “the guru” will be discussing the customer value given when pace of play is managed properly. If you want assistance at your course or business, please drop me a line to organise a confidential, obligation free, discussion with you.

Growing the game

In recent months there has been a national focus to improve offerings for people with disabilities. I am ecstatic to see this finally happening. I was honoured to spend some time recently at an Empower Golf Clinic, as well as be involved with Dave “Wheels” Sawtell in his plight to defend his world long drive title this July in the US. He really needs our help to get over there to defend!

I look forward to seeing you hopefully this year somewhere through this great industry of ours. Please drop me a line via email, phone or on Social Media if you ever want to catch up to chat about anything.

GIC Magazine – Autumn 2016

In this autumn issue we have revisited para long drive world champ Dave Sawtell in his plight to defend his title in Tennessee. Aligned with the current national focus to improve offerings for people with disabilities, the e-mag also covers Empower Golf Australia’s initiative to host golf clinics for less-abled around the country.

The magazine also outlines some of the exciting events awaiting this year, including the Golf Business Forum in Melbourne with renowned Pace of Play expert Bill Yates speaking, and Gregg Patterson and Norm Spitzig’s UP CLOSE AND PERSONAL Tour coming to New Zealand and Australia…
