JOB: Club Manager – Gatton Jubilee (QLD)

Circa $70K

Founded in 1933, the Gatton Jubilee Golf Club (GJGC) is one of the most picturesque 18-hole golf courses in Regional Queensland. The golf club has an outstanding community clubhouse facility and is located only 90 minutes west of Brisbane. The Gatton Township is central to the agriculturally rich Lockyer Valley and is home to numerous schools including the historic University of Queensland Gatton Campus.

Over the next 2 years, the GJGC will be undergoing some exciting changes which will position the club as the No. 1 Golfing Destination in the region. This unique and exciting hands-on role would be ideal for an up-and-coming business-focused Hospitality / Golf Professional who is looking to work closely with the Committee of Management and community and take control of the day-to-day running of a golf club business.

Selection Criteria

Ability to work with energy, passion, and purpose.
Demonstrate sound golf operations working knowledge which may include being a member of the PGA.
Solid food and beverage operations background or willingness to upskill to be accountable for the operation of this business unit.
Must be able to:
- Attain an RMLV, driver’s license and blue card.
- Hold a gaming license and willingness to supervisor a gaming business.
- Lead, train and motivate committees and teams.
- Have excellent written, interpersonal communication skills.
- Have a high standard of personal presentation.
- Provide outstanding service to customers and communities.
- Market and promote a business to the wider community.
- Have hands-on experience with Digital Communication Mediums.
- Work with budget targets and report monthly.
- Demonstrate a working knowledge of point-of-sale systems and Microsoft Programs (Excel/Word/Publisher/Outlook).
- Demonstrate a sound understanding of Work Health and Safety requirements.

An attractive remuneration package will be negotiated based on your professional goals and experience. The GJGC may provide additional remuneration opportunities for golf development and coaching should the successful applicant be PGA Accredited.
