JOB: Qualified Greenkeeper – The Royal Auckland and Grange Golf Club (NZ)
Job Description
The Royal Auckland and Grange Golf Club is one of the most exclusive private member golf clubs in COVID free Auckland, New Zealand.
We are currently looking for a suitably qualified and experienced Greenkeeper to join our golf course Agronomy Dept. Over the last four years’ we have been under redevelopment and now have 18 holes completed and back in play and are about to open the final 9 holes for play.
We have a new fleet of machinery and HR facilities that would match any leading club in the world.
The candidate
The successful candidate will have strong attention to detail, a passion for producing world class playing surfaces and the need to be part of a strong team with great culture and values. In addition to these core attributes, the candidate will have the following qualifications and skills:
- Minimum Level 4 Turf Management Qualification
- Agrichemical qualifications (grow safe or equivalent)
- Excellent skills and attention to detail – Accountability for own performance and work to the required standard
- Know what Poa looks like and how to pull it out of the ground!
- Enjoys working outside, being part of a large team, excellent communication and a positive attitude!
