JOB: Assistant PGA Pro – The Royal Auckland and Grange Golf Club (NZ)
The Role
The club is seeking a dynamic individual to join the team in the role of Assistant PGA Professional.
The Royal Auckland and Grange Golf Club is a traditional private member’s golf club founded in 1894. Following extensive renovations, the club unveiled the new Nicklaus Design Tamaki and Grange courses in 2019. The Middlemore course is due to open in early 2022. Along with a state-of- the-art club house, the club has world class practice facilities and a dedicated putting course.

General Duties:
- Work closely with the Director of Golf and the Golf Operations team to ensure the efficient running of all matters concerning golf and golfing on the course.
- Administer and deliver club competitions, Member Guest Days, and Pennant fixtures including the processing and publishing of competition results.
- Co-ordinate junior golf activities/days as required.
- Maintains a professional and service-oriented environment in the pro-shop by utilizing excellent interpersonal and customer service skills, organizational skills, and the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
- Establish and maintain responsibility for the cleanliness and appearance of the Golf shop, storage areas, and merchandise displays.
Attributes / Competencies:
- A passion for golf and customer service.
- Proven golf operations experience with 5+ years in the golf industry.
- Excellent communication, time management and multi-tasking skills.
- Must have a professional and well-groomed appearance and adhere to dress code and uniform policies.
- Must possess an outgoing, friendly, and professional personality, be able to communicate clearly, and be patient and courteous with members, guests, and co-workers.
- PGA qualification.
