JOB: Qualified Senior Groundsman – Lonsdale Links (VIC)
The role
A fantastic opportunity has come up for a suitably qualified Senior Groundsman to join OCM at the newly redeveloped Lonsdale Links. Just 25 minutes from Geelong, Point Lonsdale is on a stunning part of the Bellarine Peninsula.
The new course opened in December 2020 has been redesigned as a deliberate throwback to an earlier age. Featuring an exciting layout unique for Australia, the Bellarine Peninsula golf course winds around salt marshes and wetlands and spreads out across coastal dunes and boasts some of the most unique characteristics seen in Australian golf including stunning views across Lake Victoria.
OCM is looking for an enthusiastic, hard working and motivated qualified groundsman to join our maintenance team.
A 38 hour week with rostered weekend work is a requirement of this role.
Skills and Abilities
The successful applicant, will have:
- Sports turf management qualification
- Excellent communication skills
- Experience in Irrigation and repairs
- Knowledge of fertiliser and pesticide applications
- Competent in the operation of Turf machinery
