POSTED ON June 5, 2025 @ 11:00 am

Golf Industry Central and Golf Industry Asia are seeking EOI from the international golf industry for anyone who may want to attend an Educational/Networking/Golf Tour of Sydney, Australia, and/or Auckland, New Zealand, from 11 August– 22 August 2025 (approximate dates).

US and Australian PGA Member Mike Orloff will be your host for this event.

Over the 10 days, we will organise a mix of golf, educational sessions per the two events below, plus free time to sightsee (or more golf), and a chance to network with like-minded industry stakeholders from various countries. This is a boutique itinerary and will be shaped around the group’s requirements.

*You can add additional days to the front or back of this tour and bring your partners if you like. As well, come for either week of your choice.

Draft itinerary

Clubhouse, Land and Development Summit

WEEK #1 – 10 – 16 August Sydney, Australia (Pier 1 Sydney Harbour)

This is the biggest GMA event of 2025.

There are obligatory capital projects for replacements and aspirational capital projects for something new. It seems that clubs are either pondering or executing something significant at present. Whether it’s a clubhouse redevelopment, a revamp of the golf practice areas and technology, or one of the big ones, external partners to develop an income stream on the edge of the course, there’s lots that need to be done right.

Headlined by Joe Krenn CCM, CCE and the GM/CEO of Farmington CC in Virginia, USA, we’ll have some interesting speakers plus great stories to share in the gaps.

The Summit will cover important topics:

  • Building effective project teams.
  • Master planning for facilities.
  • Gaining member support for projects;
  • Strategy development for capital improvements.
  • Construction feasibility and costing;
  • Assembling construction teams;
  • Capital improvement funding options;
  • Legal and insurance essentials;
  • Innovative land use opportunities;
  • Integrated community living spaces;
  • Construction contracts and project administration;
  • Navigating government approvals;
  • Construction scheduling and project controls.

You’re invited to listen, learn, network, and take something back for your development.

We encourage GMs to bring along a board member or a member of their management team.

2025 Brandt/John Deere Whole of Golf Conference

WEEK #2 – 17 – 22 August Auckland, New Zealand (Ellerslie Event Centre)

Diverse Industry Engagement
NZGIC is working alongside key business sectors, including golf retail, equipment suppliers, media, travel and tourism, web development, social media, business strategy, and general management to curate a vibrant trade exhibition showcase. The conference will serve as a hub for networking, sharing ideas, and exchanging insights on emerging trends, research, and best practices in the golf industry.

Key Topics & Opportunities
“We’re proud to host influential speakers addressing topics such as the Future of Golf, Culture, Mental Health & Stress Management, Governance, Artificial Intelligence, Environmental issues and Sustainability,” added Topp. Attendees will also have the chance to explore trade exhibitions, connect through networking events, and participate in hands-on breakout sessions.
