Fire destroys shed at Christchurch golf club

POSTED ON October 24, 2019 @ 7:48 pm

A large shed at Christchurch’s Harewood Golf Club has been “totally destroyed” in a suspicious fire overnight.

Harewood Golf Club general manager Neville Bamford said workers found the shed smouldering when they arrived about 6.45am on Wednesday.

Two fire crews with a water tanker were called to the club on Mcleans Island Rd about 8.10am to make sure the fire was out.

A front loader, a truck and three tractors were damaged in the blaze.
