About
The Victoria Golf Industry awards are a collaboration between the sport’s peak representative bodies including
Professional Golfers Association (PGA)
The PGA of Australia is the third oldest Professional Golfers Association in the world and traces its origin back to 1911 when a group of expatriate Scottish golf Professionals formed a national Association to promote the game of golf and elevate the vocation of the golf Professional within Australia.
Golf Australia (GA)
Our goal is to raise the level of interest and participation in the game from grassroots golfers through to the elite levels, spectators, volunteers and associated industry bodies. Key responsibilities include conducting national tournaments and championships including the Australian Opens, managing the Rules of Golf and the national handicap system, and developing programs and opportunities to engage as many people as possible into the game.
Golf Management Australia (GMA)
Golf Management Australia (GMA) is a national body representing the golf club management industry with a vision of developing professional leaders in golf and club management in Australia.
Victorian Golf Course Superintendents Association (VGCSA)
The VGCSA was formed in 1927. Its mission is to provide training and educational services and a forum to share a common interest in all aspects of golf course management to Course Superintendents throughout the State of Victoria.
The awards honour the achievements of our finest athletes, administrators, volunteers and staff involved from across the state. The celebration, held in October, is a way of recognising these achievements and share success.
