Sentosa, Singapore, February 25: Hilton Worldwide (NYSE: HLT) is delighted to announce that it has extended its relationship with the Asian Tour as its Official Hotel Partner for 2016. Initiated in September 2015, the partnership with the Asian Tour provides support to professional golfers playing on Tour, which compliments the golf partnership also established by Hilton in Europe. It also gives an opportunity for engagement with the growing number of golf fans on and off the course all year round.

Mark Liversidge, vice president, marketing – Asia Pacific, Hilton said: “Hilton started actively engaging in the world of golf last year – with both professional and leisure golf travellers in Asia and Europe. We look forward to our continued partnership with Asia Tour, and to opening our doors and golf carts to golf lovers around the world.”

Catering to the needs of the professional players on Tour remains a key focus. All Asian Tour professionals will continue to enjoy elite Gold status with Hilton HHonors, the loyalty program for Hilton Worldwide’s brands, as they travel throughout the season. Additionally, each month, Hilton HHonors Diamond status will also be awarded to the Hilton Asian Tour Golfer of the Month.

Activation at marquee events across the season is another important element of the partnership. This includes having a presence in the public village for golf fans; offering unique experiences for HHonors members and creating a strong brand presence on the golf course. Following several successful partnerships in 2015, this will continue across the year, beginning with the Maybank Championships in February in Kuala Lumpur in collaboration with Hilton Kuala Lumpur.

The Hilton Asian Tour Golfer of the Month campaign engages with the leisure golfers and golf fans through the Tour’s digital and social media channels as the public vote on their favourite professional and are awarded with a chance to win a free night’s stay at any hotel within the Hilton portfolio.

“We are pleased with Hilton’s extension of our partnership. Their commitment towards the Asian Tour underscores the global appeal of the Tour, and we look forward to continuing our mutually rewarding partnership,” said Mr Kyi Hla Han, Commissioner, Asian Tour.

Hilton will continue to sit alongside other major corporations as partners of the Asian Tour, which include ECCO, Rolex, Titleist, FENIX Golf and Fuji Xerox.
