Pacific Golf Club is proud to announce its recognition as the 2024 Club of the Year at the prestigious Queensland Golf Industry Awards. This accolade celebrates the club’s unwavering dedication to excellence in golf, community engagement, and outstanding club management.
Nestled in the heart of Brisbane, Pacific Golf Club has long been a cornerstone for both avid golfers and the broader community. The award underscores the club’s achievements in membership growth, superior facilities, innovative programs, and a commitment to inclusivity and community support.
Amber Williams, General Manager of Pacific Golf Club, shared her gratitude and pride: “This award is a testament to the dedication and passion of our entire team and members. Over the past year, we have worked tirelessly to elevate every aspect of what we offer—from our meticulously maintained courses to our vibrant community programs.
The opening of our new clubhouse in January has been a game-changer, and this recognition affirms that Pacific Golf Club is more than just a place to play golf; it’s a community, a family, and a source of pride for all involved.”A significant milestone in the club’s journey was the completion of its major development project in partnership with Reside Communities.
The new clubhouse, which opened in late January, marked a new era for Pacific Golf Club. Featuring a contemporary beer garden, a fully equipped bar and restaurant, a revamped pro shop, a chipping and bunker green, four state-of-the-art TrackMan-powered simulator
bays, and an 18-hole mini golf course, the facility has significantly enhanced the member and guest experience.
Club President, Rob Downey highlighted the club’s forward-thinking approach: “This recognition showcases our commitment to both tradition and modernity in the sport. It’s about nurturing a love for golf while embracing the future through technology, high-quality events, and engaging programs.”
Pacific Golf Club’s investment in youth and community has also set it apart. The club’s junior programs have thrived, fostering a new generation of golfers and emphasising accessibility. Partnerships with local schools and support for community groups have solidified the club’s role as an essential pillar in Brisbane’s social and sporting fabric.
Amber Williams added, “Our club’s journey has been defined by the vision of creating a welcoming, family-friendly environment where everyone feels valued. This award belongs to all who have played a part in making Pacific Golf Club what it is today.”
The Club of the Year award not only reflects past accomplishments but fuels future ambitions. Amber Williams expressed, “We’re excited for what’s to come, from more community-driven events to innovative enhancements that keep us at the forefront of the golf industry. This is just the beginning.”
