JOB: Regional Support Manager – Golf NSW
Primary Objectives:
- Provide support to Regional Managers in the administration of wound up DGA’s.
- Ensure all Golf NSW/DGA ‘Deed of Agreement’ obligations are
- Identify key resources and skills required to administer wound up DGA’s
- Lead the seamless integration of District Golf Associations (DGAs) into Golf NSW administrative frameworks, ensuring continuity, compliance, and community engagement.
- Support the Senior RM with operational support to Regional Managers, fostering a collaborative and high-performing regional network.
- Oversee the design, implementation, and evaluation of regional events, ensuring they are inclusive, well-resourced, and aligned with organisational & strategic goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Liaise with DGA’s and Regional Mangers to ensure the effective transition of DGA’s to Golf NSW
- Ensure the delivery of key DGA events as outlined in Deeds of
- Liaise with RM’s to ensure DGA calendar of events are set in a timely
- Consolidate and realign DGA websites and social media accounts with those of Golf
- Liaise with the Finance Manager to ensure DGA affiliation fees are appropriately accounted for on an annual basis.
- Training RM’s in all aspects of Golf Genius and other software required to administer DGA’s.
- Ensure all obligations under DGA Deeds of Agreement are met and documented.
- Support RMs in understanding and applying governance principles in regional operations.
- Assist in the development of regional governance frameworks where DGAs have been wound up.
- Oversee the planning and delivery of regional and country championships, including logistics, budgeting, and stakeholder coordination.
- Collaborate with RMs to assist development, management & schedule for pennant.
- Support RMs in using digital tools (e.g., Golf Genius, FileMaker) for event management and reporting.
- Promote regional stories and successes through internal and external communication channels.
- Establish and maintain a sustainable volunteer network to support regional activities.
- Identify training needs and coordinate professional development opportunities for volunteers.
- Encourage cross-regional collaboration and knowledge sharing.
- Provide regular updates to the Senior Regional Manager on regional performance, risks, and opportunities.
- Contribute to the development of regional strategic plans and annual operational plans.
Experience and Qualifications
- Regional and/or Manager
- A sound understanding of District Golf Associations operations and governance
- Previous experience on DGA/Club
Skills
- High quality verbal and written
- Strong knowledge of MS Office products, social media platforms, and Word Press
- Experience and/or knowledge in Golf Genius software.
- Strong knowledge of men’s and women’s golf in Australia, particularly at club
- Strong communication, people and presentation
- A team focused
- A keen interest in golf and/or sport (participant or official).
