JOB: Fundraising & Events Manager – Australian Golf Foundation

POSTED ON July 1, 2025 @ 6:01 pm

The Australian Golf Foundation (AGF), established by Golf Australia in 2018, is the national fundraising body supporting golf in Australia.

AGF’s core purpose is to give more children the opportunity to experience golf and develop a love for the game by investing in national programs that:

  • Increase accessibility: Especially for girls and those who are disadvantaged or from minority groups.
  • Provide fun golf experiences: Enabling young people to learn to play golf and develop invaluable life skills.
  • Identify and nurture talent: Supporting young athletes in achieving their potential and becoming inspirational role models.

The Foundation is already making a significant impact. Since its launch in 2021, the Junior Girls Scholarship Program, AGF’s first fundraising project, has demonstrated the incredible impact of philanthropy. Now in its fifth year, the program has awarded over 4,500 scholarships, enabling young girls all across Australia to begin or continue their lifelong journey in golf.

This success is further demonstrated by initiatives like the GA Give Back Program, where high-profile golfers, including AGF Ambassador Hannah Green, Cameron Smith, Minjee Lee, Lucas Herbert, Cameron Davis and Min Woo Lee, have collectively donated over $900,000 through AGF. Additionally, The Kinghorn Foundation has been instrumental in funding the GA Rookie Program, which helps athletes transition from amateur to professional ranks.

AGF is dedicated to making golf accessible to all, especially children facing financial barriers. In partnership with Golf Australia, the Foundation is now aiming to broaden its reach through junior programs like MyGolf and TeeMates, focusing on those who need support the most.

Golf Australia (GA) is the governing body for golf in Australia. The membership of GA starts with State Associations and cascades down to golf regions, associations, golf clubs and the members of golf clubs across the country. More than 1,400 golf clubs and 459,000 club members are affiliated to GA through their membership and access to the GA Handicap system. In addition to supporting golf clubs and facilities, GA has a sharp focus on participation, encouraging growth, increasing diversity, and presenting golf as a sport for all.

Golf in Australia is riding a wave of unprecedented growth, celebrating its fifth consecutive year of club membership growth and a record 3.8 million adult Australians playing some form of golf in 2023-24 at golf courses, driving ranges, simulators, or minigolf facilities.
