Marrickville Golf, Sporting and Community Club, the Inner West’s most popular bijou golf course, is seeking to employ a General Manager.

The role will require an applicant with vision and ambition.

The successful applicant will possess a high level of strategic business abilities, spanning the development and promotion of the Club and the Course.

Strong financial organisation skills are paramount.

A focus on Marketing, Promotion and Advertising will be crucial.

A strong understanding of the importance of communication, both within the Club and with the wider community is essential. To that end, we require a General Manager with strong website administration skills, social media capability and the ability to produce and update the Club’s internal newsletter

The applicant will be required to develop strategies to ensure the Club’s future success.

We are a Club that values close ties with the local Community and pride ourselves on developing strong relationships with all the local sporting, cultural, social and environmental groups.

The General Manager will have experience in Grant Application and the ability to liaise with the local political and community leaders to ensure the continued high profile and enhanced reputation of the Club.

The Club is entering an exciting phase of its development and will be embarking on many new and diverse projects in an effort to provide its ever-growing Membership with the best possible experience, both on the Course and in the Clubhouse.

The General Manager will liaise with the Board to ensure that projects are planned, budgeted and executed in a professional and efficient manner.

The General Manager will have excellent people skills and a keen interest to engage with the Board, the Membership and the Community.

Marrickville is currently one of the highest profile suburbs in Sydney, and was recently declared one of the coolest suburbs in the world, due in part to the contribution made by our Club.
