The Sports Environment Alliance (SEA) today announced an exciting new partnership with sustainability solutions company epar.

With epar proudly innovating sustainability support functions that ensure environmental protection, worker safety, and improved efficiency, this new collaboration is bound for sport & planet success.

Founder and CEO Terry Muir explained that his company’s ambition is to work with leaders across their global network to explore and develop innovative net-zero approaches, technologies, and systems to tackle the fundamental sustainability challenges facing the sporting world.

“SEA has a central role to play in driving and sustaining such innovation and partnering with them can help us influence and build public and government appetite for truly sustainable sport,” Mr Muir said.

Delving deeper into epar’s work in the sustainability space, Mr Muir explained that the aim is to deliver value for teams and their businesses through an innovative RegTech technology called Connect 2.0.

This software provides richer and faster EHS insights, drives efficiencies in compliance processes through automation, reduces costs and offers foresight into emerging risk issues.

“Our cloud-based sustainability system, Connect 2.0, recently achieved the 3 000-user milestone. This last year we have used this platform to deliver over 12 000 online sustainability training programs; circulated 57 000 EHS documents; and delivered over 780 000 digital EHS best practice tips.”

In welcoming epar to the #SEAFamily, SEA Executive Director Dr Sheila Nguyen said that a shared vision to lead sustainability practices in sport make this partnership the perfect fit.

“We are so delighted that epar has joined SEA and we look forward to the good work we will {and can} do, to increase our #envirolove for our natural spaces and the biodiversity found across sports’ green, white, and blue assets,” Dr Nguyen said.
