Founded in 1928, the Boonah Golf Club is located 86 km south-west of Brisbane, 70 kms west of the Gold Coast, positioned in the heart of Queensland’s spectacular Scenic Rim. The Boonah Township is surrounded by six world class national parks and sits as the Lonely Planet’s Top 10 Travel Destinations. Boonah also provides an exceptional family and educational environment supported by amazing cafes, accommodation and sporting facilities. Over the next 2 years, the Boonah Golf Club will be undergoing some exciting changes which will position the club as the No.1 Golfing and Tourism Destination in the region.

The Boonah Golf Club Committee is looking for a confident leader who understands how to expose the Boonah Golf Club to the local community and tourist markets.

• Demonstrated ability to operate a profitable hospitality and golf business.
• Ability to work within a member organization reporting to a committee.
• Hold an Qld RSA, Driver’s License and Blue Card.

Demonstrated hands-on working knowledge of Booking Systems and Microsoft Programs (Excel/Word/Publisher/Outlook).

Ability to manage and maintain security and IT systems.

Demonstrate a sound understanding of Work Health and Safety requirements.

Provide Covid19 Vaccination evidence in keeping with the 2021 Queensland Government Health Directive.

The Boonah Golf Club will negotiate additional remuneration opportunities for golf development and coaching should the successful applicant be PGA Accredited. The Boonah Golf Club are prepared to contribute to a relocation allowance should the successful applicant need to relocate to the Scenic Rim Region.

The Queensland Government has issued a Public Health Direction, mandating that all staff in the clubs’ industry must be fully vaccinated in order to perform work from 17 December 2021. This role offer would be subject to the supply of evidence related to the mandatory vaccination requirements in addition to other required employment screening.
