Located on the scenic Mornington Peninsula, the Sorrento Golf Club aims to be ‘the Club of choice on the Mornington Peninsula’. The Club is in a strong position, with high demand for membership, a great member culture and one of the best golf courses in Australia. The Club’s food and beverage offering is one of the best on the Peninsula offering a diverse variety of service formats. This includes our Terrace Bar, on-course catering, outside catering functions, intimate private dining and large-scale events up to 250 guests in our Peninsula Room.

The Role

An exciting opportunity now exists for an experienced Sous Chef or an ambitious CDP looking to take the next step in their career. The position is on a full-time basis within our passionate and experienced kitchen team. With a strong focus on personal and professional development, you will receive significant support from the Club over the course of your employment. This will allow you to continue to improve your skillset whilst providing exposure to a number of exciting industry-based opportunities, holding you in good stead to be a future leader in our industry.

The successful candidate will possess the following:

Relevant qualification
An ability to manage a team through respect and strong leadership with a hands-on approach
Experience in delivering a wide range of service offerings
A strong passion for food and the hospitality industry
An understanding and interest in operating costs and budgets
Strong understanding of food safety standards and practices
