JOB: Golf Operations Manager – Mt Osmond Golf Club

The Mount Osmond Golf Club is currently seeking an energetic, hands-on Golf Operations Manager. Providing excellent service to our members and guests, you will be part of a small, dedicated management team and will be required to take responsibility for the golf operations department and pro shop operations.
Located on top of the Eastern foothills, overlooking the city of Adelaide as well as the Adelaide Hills our clubhouse enjoys stunning panorama and is a key facility to service our local community. The clubhouse is open 7 days a week for lunch and member service and a growing number of evening events.
The role
The successful applicant will have a strong knowledge of golf and retail operations to a wide range of customers including in a club environment. Excellent interpersonal skills and a professional attitude. Reporting to the General Manager and working with the Administration Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring a high level of service is provided by the Club.
The ideal candidate in this hands-on role, you will have:
- exceptional knowledge of the game of golf, its rules and etiquette
- a demonstrated ability to achieve KPI’s and financial objectives set by management
- experience in creating clear and concise weekly reporting on financial, human resource and performance objectives
- an engaging personality and ability to maintain strong relationships with club members and
other guests - Strong work ethic with high standards and attention to detail
- experience in leading, developing and inspiring a team of staff
- Hands on experience with golf management and timesheet management programs
- PGA qualifications
A knowledge of or experience working within a membership-based organisation would be an advantage.
This full-time position will require applicants to work as part of a small professional team across a 7-day operation that will include regular weekend and occasional evening work.
An appropriate salary will be negotiated commensurate with the successful applicant’s qualifications, skills and abilities.
