JOB: Fitting Ambassador – Titleist

An exciting opportunity exists to join the Acushnet Australia Team on a full-time 12-month fixed-term contract as the Fitting Ambassador for Victoria, working closely with four Victorian Account Managers and National Club Fitting Leader to deliver excellent service to the Victorian golf market.
Purpose of the Role
- Custom-fit golfers correctly for Titleist products at Titleist Golf Club and Golf Ball Fitting Days
- Educate Partners and their Staff on best practices of how to custom-fit Titleist products
- Strongly encourage and actively support partners with the knowledge required to proactively custom-fit Titleist products “day in and day out” in their businesses
- Build sell-through momentum for the Titleist brand and products in partners’ golf shops
Primary Responsibilities of the Role
- Conduct Titleist Fitting Days at various locations within Victoria as determined by Titleist Account Managers
- Correctly fit consumers for Titleist Golf Balls and Clubs using Titleist Fitting Methodologies
- Communicate key features and benefits of Titleist products
- Support time dedicated to the Titleist brand with partnering accounts on merchandising and stock refill service where needed.
- Build strong relationships with partner accounts and their staff, including providing industry-leading technical training on Fitting and Titleist products
- Proactive, positive, and attentive interaction with golfers
- Be a Fitting Ambassador for certain FootJoy products when required
- Any other reasonable duty assigned
Knowledge, Skills & Attitude
The successful candidate will present and embody the Acushnet Company and the Titleist brand values i.e. performance and quality excellence, a passion for dedicated golfers, a spirit of leadership, a strong service orientation and a fitting focus.
- A strong understanding of golfers’ equipment needs and the importance of being fitted properly
- PGA qualification and/or other relevant tertiary qualifications are highly desirable
- A passion for customer service – exemplifying a strong “Can Do” attitude
- Well-developed listening and interpersonal skills
- Able to work autonomously, achieving daily action plans
- Team player with a desire to learn
- Excellent time management skills
- Professional personal presentation
- Attention to detail
- Experience using Microsoft Office including Excel and Word
- Must hold a valid driver’s license and be able to travel throughout Victoria, including metropolitan, regional and country areas
- Commitment to 5 days per week (predominantly Tuesday to Saturday)
Other details
- Fitting Days are at partner golf locations throughout Victoria, including metropolitan, regional and country areas
- Product, Fitting & Merchandising education will be provided to the successful candidate
- A fully maintained company van is provided for driving to and from events each day and carrying all products and equipment required for these events.
- Fitting products and required business tools will be provided by Acushnet,
- Occasional overnight travel will be required by the Victorian Acushnet Fitting Ambassador which as per company policy overnight stay allowance will be provided
- The ability to conduct regular lifting and carrying of products and equipment for events is a requirement of this role.
