JOB: Qualified Turf Tradesperson – Commonwealth Golf Club

Commonwealth Golf Club, one of Melbourne’s premier Sandbelt clubs, is seeking to employ a permanent, full-time, Qualified Turf Tradesperson to join its turf maintenance team. This role will be a senior position and a great opportunity to advance your career with a Club willing to support a dedicated person.
The role
The Club is midway through a major course rebuild with Renaissance Golf Design, greens reconstruction is a major aspect of the work, and the successful applicant will require experience and or a keen interest in construction projects and developing new turf. Stage two of the work will commence in September.
Applicants must have a keen interest in fine turf management and be proficient in the safe use of turf machinery and the application of plant protection products.
Personal qualities such as a strong work ethic, reliability, team focused, highly motivated, courteous nature and an understanding and interest in the game of golf.
Applicants for this position will also require:
- Certificate III in Turf Management
- Understanding of OH&S requirements
- Current Drivers License
- Ability to work in Australia permanently, without restrictions
- Understanding of all aspects of turf maintenance
- Have experience in the operation of turf equipment
- Have excellent problem-solving and time management skills
The successful applicant will work a 38-hour week plus some weekend work and public holidays via a roster. Fantastic working conditions with above-award wages, meals, and full uniform provided.
