JOB: Golf Professional Services (Contractor or employee) – Alice Springs GC (NT)

POSTED ON June 2, 2023 @ 10:29 am

Remuneration: $145,000 – $180,000 per year!

About

Alice Springs Golf Club is the Northern Territory’s most renowned golf course and an opportunity exists for a PGA Professional to lead all golf at the facility. Possessing one of the world’s finest desert courses, floodlit driving range, and putting green as well as pro shop, bowling green, restaurant and bar, the Alice Springs Golf Club invites PGA Professionals to apply for a well-renumerated and extremely rewarding role.

The role

The opportunity exists for the role to be either an independent contractor encompassing rights to operate the pro shop, or an employed role working for Alice Springs Golf Club.

Key responsibilities of this position include:

  • Providing customer service and golf instruction to members and guests
  • Driving revenue through pro shop sales and golf equipment rentals
  • Collaborating with other staff members to ensure seamless operations across the club.
  • Organizing and leading golf clinics, lessons, and events for players of all skill levels
  • Maintaining a safe, clean, and professional golfing environment

The preferred model of the successful applicant will determine the exact remuneration structures with a desire for the PGA Professional to be remunerated in excess of $145,000pa via either a contractor or employee. Under a contractor model, the PGA Professional would be responsible for all costs associated with providing services in the pro shop including staffing the shop, while retaining the revenue for retail sales. As an employee, you will be paid a salary for a 38-hour work week whilst managing the club’s operation with the opportunity for additional coaching and club fitting.

Alice Springs Golf Club is committed to promoting diversity and equality in the workplace, and we encourage applicants from all backgrounds to apply. Further information about the role, the contract framework, and the club’s financial details can be accessed by contacting Alice Springs Golf Club General Manager Brad Gaddes on manager@asgc.com.au

Applications for the role close at 5pm on Friday 23rd June with a negotiable though preferred starting period of July, 2023.
