Coffs Harbour Golf Club is a 27-hole championship standard golf course, centrally located between Brisbane and Sydney on the NSW coast. Rated as one of the premier country courses in Australia, this is an exciting time to join the Club with significant investment occurring into the implementation of our Craig Parry Course Master Plan. Craig Parry labeled Coffs Harbour Golf Club as a ‘Golfers Dream’ by providing 27 holes of championship competition play and giving members three different courses to play and enjoy each week.

The role

We are seeking the services of a highly motivated and conscientious Course Superintendent to join and lead our golf course maintenance team. The successful applicant will manage and manicure a 27-hole golf facility with Kustom Bind bunkering, 328 couch grass greens and predominantly couch fairways along with significant practice facilities and gardens. The Course Superintendent is responsible for planning, scheduling, and supervising turf maintenance on the golf course and supervising and allocating duties to staff, including apprentices, who are involved in daily maintenance, to ensure the golf course and grounds are always maintained to a high standard, exceeding member’s expectations.

Requirements of the role

• Ability to develop and implement a Management Maintenance Program for the Golf Course in accordance with budgetary guidelines.
• Proven people management skills running high-performance teams.
• An eye for detail to consistently enhance the standards and quality of the course.
• A hands-on approach and leading by example.
• Certificate 3 or diploma equivalent in Sports Turf Management
• Chemical spraying certificate with relevant experience with chemical and fertilizer application.
• Ability to supervise, train and maximize staff efficiency.
• Working knowledge of irrigation systems and repairs.
• Construction experience is desirable
• Must be available to work weekends, overtime and public holidays on an equitable rotating roster
• Proficient in the use day to day golf course machinery
• Drivers Licence
