Hoi An South Development Ltd plans to develop an additional golf course at the $4 billion Hoiana Resort & Golf, a premier luxury integrated resort complex in Vietnam’s central province of Quang Nam, home to the UNESCO-recognized Hoi An ancient town.
The firm – HASD, has asked for approval from the provincial government to build the 18-hole golf course at Hoiana, which is under the control of Chow Tai Fook Enterprises, the flagship investment firm of Hong Kong’s billionaire Cheng family.
The developer intends to build the 65-hectare golf course to the west of Vo Chi Cong street, Binh Duong commune, Thang Binh district.
At this site, around 19.7 hectares have been cleared for construction. HASD is accelerating the clearance of the remaining 45.3 ha, aiming for completion in 2024-2025.
The new golf course will complement the existing Hoiana Shores Golf Club at Hoiana, contributing to the provincial tourism development plan for 2021-2030.
Currently, Quang Nam province has three golf courses: Hoiana Shores Golf Club, Montgomerie Links, and Vinpearl Golf Nam Hoi An.
