About the role

As the Operations Manager at the McLeod Country Golf Club, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing the day-to-day operations of this premier golf club located in Mount Ommaney, QLD 4074. Reporting directly to the General Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth and efficient running of all club activities and facilities, contributing to the overall success and growth of this thriving Hospitality and Tourism business.

What you’ll be doing

• Manage and coordinate all club operations, including clubhouse management, food and beverage services, and member/guest services
• Develop and implement operational policies, procedures, and systems to improve efficiency and enhance the member/guest experience
• Oversee the recruitment, training, and management of the operations team, ensuring high levels of customer service and staff satisfaction
• Liaise with key stakeholders, to address any operational concerns and implement appropriate solutions
• Analyse operational data and key performance indicators to identify areas for improvement and make informed decisions
• Contribute to the development and execution of the club’s operations plan, providing input and recommendations to the General Manager

What we’re looking for

• Significant experience (5+ years) in a similar operations management role within the Hospitality or Tourism industry
• Proven track record of leading and motivating cross-functional teams to deliver exceptional customer service
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills, with the ability to think strategically and implement practical solutions
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build effective relationships with various stakeholders
• Proficient in using data analysis and reporting tools to drive operational efficiencies
• Tertiary qualification in Business Management, Hospitality Management, or a related field is highly desirable
• Functions knowledge and booking website IVVY.com is a bonus for the position as the leader of the events team
