JOB: General Manager – Riverside Golf Club

The Riverside Golf Club is a Community and Member Club that aims to provide the best Golf, Recreational, and Social experience for everyone.
As General Manager you will be responsible for managing all aspects of the day-to-day operations of the Club in a manner and at a standard befitting a pre-eminent Golf and Community Club.Relationships
Reporting to the President, the General Manager shall be responsible to the Committee of Management of the Club.
Responsibilities
The General Manager shall be responsible for:
- Customer experience to maximise the enjoyment and satisfaction of all users of the Club including members, visitors, guests and event attendees
- Revenue maximisation from all revenue streams including membership, societies, visiting parties, bar and catering, functions and pro-shop
- Commercial control of the Club, premises and facilities in line with the business plan and budget.
- Resource planning to deliver cost effective and efficient support services to members, societies, visitors, event attendees and users of the Club
- Staff management and motivation (including office, bar & catering, maintenance/cleaning staff and pro-shop) in accordance with all relevant HR Legislation policies and personal development plans
- Facility management and technology optimisation to ensure assets are maintained and enhanced and IT systems/digital channels are utilised for operational efficiency

The Candidate
- Will have a professional qualification in business, management or related field
- Will have a strong working knowledge of food and beverage operations and retail sectors
- Hold a current driver’s license and be willing to obtain RSA certificate
- Will have supervisory and leadership experience
- Willingness and ability to work flexible hours and weekends
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to meet deadlines
- Will have a strong knowledge of the game of golf
- Will be self-motivated
Remuneration
A remuneration package appropriate to the successful applicant’s experience and qualifications will be negotiated.
