Swing Factory Expands to Hunter Region with Maitland Driving Range Redevelopment

POSTED ON August 13, 2025 @ 2:14 pm

Swing Factory, one of Australia’s fastest-growing names in golf entertainment, has announced its third venue — a multi-million-dollar redevelopment of the former Tom’s Golf Range in Maitland.

Scheduled to begin construction in late 2025, the Hunter-based site will blend performance-focused golf technology with premium social amenities, targeting a mid-to-late 2026 opening (STCA).

The project follows the success of Swing Factory’s Terrey Hills (Sydney) and Morack Public Golf (Melbourne) locations, cementing the company’s mission to build a nationwide network of community-oriented driving ranges.

The new Maitland facility will feature:

  • All-weather, undercover bays with plush lounge seating and auto-tee systems
  • Toptracer Range technology in every bay for ball tracking, game modes, and analytics
  • 18-hole mini golf course designed by Richard Chamberlain
  • Clubhouse with alfresco dining, curated F&B menu, and social spaces
  • Robotic ball collection systems for seamless operations

Managing Director and Co-Founder Erich Weber said the expansion into Maitland marks an important strategic move for Swing Factory.

“The City of Maitland is the perfect fit — a strong sporting culture, vibrant hospitality scene, and a growing community,” Weber said. “It’s an ideal stage to showcase the Swing Factory Experience and bring golf, entertainment, and community together.”

Weber confirmed the Maitland venue will be the company’s first regional location, with more sites in planning as part of a broader national growth strategy.
