JOB: Golf & Club Operations Manager – Eastlake Golf Club

POSTED ON August 25, 2025 @ 5:29 pm

Sydney | $80,000–$100,000 + super

(depending on experience)

About

Eastlake Golf Club is looking for a passionate and hands-on Golf & Club Operations Manager to join our small, hardworking team.

We’re one of Sydney’s top public access golf courses (ranked in Australia’s Top 50), and while we’re proud of our course and history, we’re also a relaxed, down-to-earth club with working-class roots. This role is a great opportunity for someone who loves golf and wants to take the next step in their career, gaining experience across all areas of club management.

What the role involves

In this role, you’ll be right in the thick of things – no two days will be the same. You’ll:

  • Manage golf operations: competitions, timesheets, corporate golf days, and liaison with the Head Professional.
  • Work with the Match & Greens Committee and Course Superintendent on golf and course matters.
  • Handle membership applications, renewals, and the waitlist process.
  • Be a first point of contact for members, visitors, and the general public (phone, email, and face-to-face).
  • Oversee clubhouse bookings and functions, working with the bar and kitchen teams to deliver a smooth experience.
  • Get involved in whatever needs doing – from running corporate days to lending a hand behind the bar when things are busy.

Who we’re looking for

We’re not after a list of degrees or certificates – we’re after the right person. Someone who:

  • Loves the game of golf and wants to build a career in the industry.
  • Has experience in golf services, club operations, or hospitality (knowledge of MiClub systems is a bonus).
  • Is accountable, adaptable, and doesn’t shy away from rolling up their sleeves.
  • Is confident with technology and quick to pick up new systems.
  • Can think on their feet, solve problems, and contribute ideas to improve the member and guest experience.
  • Holds an RSA and RCG (or willing to obtain immediately).

Why this role?

At bigger clubs, you might get stuck in one area – here, you’ll be across everything. It’s the perfect stepping stone if you see yourself one day moving into senior club management. You’ll learn golf operations, membership, hospitality, and events – all under one roof, with the support of a small but committed team.

Normal working hours are Tuesday to Saturday, with some evenings and occasional Sundays as required by the club’s needs. The salary range is $80,000 to $100,000 plus superannuation, depending on experience.

If you’re ready to take ownership, throw yourself into a varied role, and be part of a genuine team environment, we’d love to hear from you.
