Golf Australia Appoints Nicolle Rantanen Reynolds as Vice Chair

POSTED ON May 23, 2026 @ 1:49 pm

Leadership Appointment Ratified by Board

Golf Australia has appointed Nicolle Rantanen Reynolds as Vice Chair, with the decision formally ratified by the organisation’s Board.

Reynolds joined the Golf Australia Board in October 2023 and currently chairs the People and Culture Committee while also serving as a member of the Risk and Audit Committee. She is also Golf Australia’s appointed Director to the Australian Golf Services Board.

Extensive Governance and Industry Experience

A professional Non-Executive Director and Fellow of the Australian Institute of Company Directors, Reynolds brings experience across sport, government and purpose-driven organisations.

Her governance portfolio includes senior roles across racing, education, local government and community sectors, following an executive career in government and superannuation. She also holds qualifications as a Fellow CPA and a Masters in Commercial Law.

Reynolds is also a Founding Member and Chair of the Australian Golf Leaders Network and serves as South Australia’s State Chapter lead for the Minerva Network, which connects elite athletes with executive business leaders.

Strong Connection to Golf Community

A member of The Grange Golf Club in South Australia, Reynolds has served on the club’s Committee for the past 10 years, including the last four years as President.

She said she was honoured to take on the role and contribute to the future direction of the game.

“Golf is a sport with an incredible ability to connect people across communities, generations and backgrounds,” Reynolds said.

“I’m passionate about ensuring we continue to build a game that is welcoming, inclusive and sustainable for the future. I’m honoured to take on the role of Vice Chair and look forward to working with my fellow directors and the broader golf community to support the game’s long-term success.”

Chair Welcomes Appointment

Golf Australia Chair Peter Margin said Reynolds’ appointment would strengthen the Board’s leadership and governance capabilities.

“Nicolle brings outstanding leadership experience across complex, community-focused organisations, as well as a deep connection to golf,” Margin said.

“Her appointment as Vice Chair strengthens our Board and reflects our commitment to strong, diverse and future-focused governance. We are delighted to have her step into this important leadership position.”

Focus on Future Growth Strategy

The appointment comes as Golf Australia continues its focus on participation growth, modernisation initiatives and long-term value for clubs and golfers nationwide.

The organisation is also preparing to deliver its BIG SWINGS 2026–2030 strategy, aimed at growing all forms of golf, improving the golfer experience, and building a more inclusive and connected future for the game.
