JOB: (Club Car) Regional Sales Manager – Oceania

Role Summary

The role is expected to deliver Club Car assigned territory business results and drive profitable growth through daily sales activities and marketing initiatives. The Regional Manager role is a mainly field based position that manages the Club Car distributor network within their assigned territory, tasked to grow the Club Car sales across the defined product portfolio. The role will develop and execute individual business plans to achieve Club Car’s market share, revenue, and margin targets and identifies/pursues new opportunities to grow Club Cars presence across the defined region.

This role will be based in Australia, either around Melbourne or Sydney, with a significant travel need.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Create/formulate sales strategy and plan for assigned territories in the region; conduct salesactivities to achieve sales and profit targets. Has capability of direct sales and key account/projects and drive for business solutions.
  • Create and implement marketing initiatives in the assigned territories to support/drive for market share and business performance.
  • Maintain effective relationships with Golf, Commercial and Consumer end users to enhance satisfaction.
  • Represent Club Car at key Industry Events and where required make presentations on behalf of the company.
  • Maintain relationships within key Industry Associations and provide leverage for the benefit of Club Car and Distribution Partners
  • Manage and develop and support channel partners, develop new channel partners as necessary for growth to achieve sales and profit growth and high levels of customer satisfaction.
  • Optimize channel network to enhance coverage, engage, manage and support channel partners to grow market share and strengthen branding in golf and non-golf vehicle segment.
  • Provide training and support to channel partners, and enhance channel partners’ sales and service capability
  • Lead and support the sales process on critical projects.
  • Effectively communicate and execute related policies and processes to channel partners to ensure smooth business operation.
  • Deliver growth through new product sales, new vertical penetration, and other sales programs to achieve market share growth in existing and new markets.
  • Represent Club Car to work with regional golf and non-golf associations etc. to strengthen Club Car presence and branding in the industries.
  • Work closely with AP and US leadership and function teams, ensure timely feedback on markets, products, competition, dealerships, daily operation issues etc.
  • Work with finance and CX team to ensure timely collection of payments.
  • Provide project/sales pipelines, accurate sales forecasts, monthly region progress vs. plan, market intelligence and other information and reports as company and manager required
  • Other tasks assigned by manager.

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS

Education:

  • Minimum BS degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or business management

Experience:

  • Minimum 8-10 years of experience on channel and project sales or business development and marketing promotion, proven solid tracking record
  • Preferred background in machinery and equipment, vehicles and components, golf and resort industries
  • Golfer preferred
  • Strong business acumen, sales execution capability, good at business presentations and market analysis
  • Result-oriented mindset, Good at problem-solving flexibly, positive, proactive and resilient
  • Good interpersonal skills, enjoy socializing and build new relationships
  • Enjoy independent working, like remote and diverse working environments, eager to learn, self-disciplined and self-motivated

Key Competencies:

  • Ability to demonstrate outstanding customer service skills.
  • Ability to travel (50 ~ 70%)
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing. Strong presentation skills, great teamwork capabilities, good at building positive relationships with key stakeholders.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, demonstrating excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to organize tasks effectively and follow documentation procedures.
  • Ability to lead and manage a virtual team to achieve target
  • Ability to work under stress, strong ownership, self-motivated, result-oriented, like challenges, persistent and positive.
  • Be compliant with regulations and company policy.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or listen.
  • This position may be required to stand, walk, sit, use hands to feel; reach with hand and arms, and stoop, kneel or crouch as needed.
  • Work environment is in an office/manufacturing plant environment which may entail exposure to loud noise, moving parts, assembly, manufacturing and personal protection equipment is required according to guidelines outlined in the facility.
  • Travel Frequency: at least 30%
