Atkins Appointed Cromer Golf Club New General Manager
Cromer Golf Club has announced the appointment of Jason Atkins as its new General Manager, effective this July.
Atkins, an Australian PGA Professional with nearly three decades of experience in the golf and hospitality sectors, transitions to the Northern Beaches Club following an eight-year tenure at Pymble Golf Club (PGC).
During his time at Pymble, Atkins steered the club through a transformative era. His leadership saw PGC navigate the operational volatility of the COVID-19 pandemic, weather the severe New South Wales floods of 2022, and celebrate its landmark Centenary in 2024. Crucially, Atkins spearheaded the “Shaping the Future Project,” a comprehensive course refresh that has successfully modernized the club’s infrastructure and market position.
Reflecting on his departure, Atkins expressed deep gratitude to the Pymble community, offering particular thanks to club leaders Roger Corcoran and Frank Woods.
“My time at PGC has been incredibly rewarding and has provided experiences that will stay with me throughout my career,” Atkins said. “It has been a privilege to contribute to such an important chapter in PGC’s history.”
Before his time at Pymble, Atkins built a robust resume managing several premier Greater Sydney properties, including stints as General Manager at North Ryde Golf Club and Woollahra Golf Club, alongside early-career professional roles at Moore Park Golf.
Atkins now steps into the top job at Cromer Golf Club at a time of strong momentum for the facility, which recently celebrated its own centenary. He will oversee the club’s championship operations, private member facilities, and its newly expanded wellness and in-house pro shop divisions.
“I’m now looking forward to this next chapter and am excited to join the team at Cromer Golf Club,” Atkins added. “I look forward to working with the Board, members, and staff to build on the Club’s strong foundations and contribute to its future success.”
