Jason Day shoe line launched in North America

POSTED ON October 5, 2024 @ 11:49 am

Portland, OR – PGA champion and former World No. 1 golfer, Jason Day, and PAYNTR Golf, North America’s fastest-growing golf footwear brand, today announce the official launch of their highly anticipated collaboration: the PAYNTR Golf Eighty-Seven Speed Classic (SC), set to hit retail on October 4, 2024, with a price of $220.

This launch marks a groundbreaking moment of the 10-month process, marrying Day’s refined style with PAYNTR Golf’s advanced performance technology in an innovative, classic silo collection that will debut three additional Speed Classic models in Spring 2025.

“This collaboration with PAYNTR Golf has been an incredible journey and the Eighty Seven SC is just the beginning,” said Jason Day. “From the moment I joined the PAYNTR Golf team, I’ve been deeply involved in every aspect of this shoe’s design, from concept to final product. Our goal has always been to create a true performance advantage for golfers without sacrificing style or comfort—and I truly believe we’ve achieved that with the Eighty-Seven SC. We are excited to debut three more models to this collection in 2025.”

The PAYNTR Golf Eighty Seven SC is designed with both performance and comfort in mind. Day was highly involved in the development of the Eighty Seven SC from start to finish and personally began wear-testing the classic-looking silo during the 2024 Masters. Throughout the process, Day provided invaluable feedback to PAYNTR Golf’s engineering team on the shoe’s entire makeup from materials and styling to overall design. This intensive development process ensured that the Eighty Seven SC was optimized for both competitive and casual golfers.

The Eighty Seven SC represents a milestone in PAYNTR Golf’s innovative approach to footwear. This launch also continues their tradition of utilizing cutting-edge technology, such as the Full-Length Carbitex Directional Carbon Fiber Propulsion Plate, which boosts ground reaction forces, delivering more power and speed in the downswing. Combined with the waterproof and breathable Clarino Microfiber Performance Upper and TOUR Flex Pro Cleats, this shoe delivers unmatched comfort, stability, and performance for all types of course conditions.

One of the standout features is the 87 perforated holes in the design, which provide excellent breathability—an homage to Day’s lucky number, 87.

Key Features of the PAYNTR Golf Eighty-Seven SC:

  • Waterproof + Breathable Clarino Microfiber Performance Upper
  • TPU Injected Stability Heel Clip
  • Ariaprene Tongue Booty Comfort Package
  • PMX NITRO+ Injected 3D Molded Footbed
  • Performance Foam Filler
  • Full-Length Directional Carbon Fiber Propulsion Plate by Carbitex
  • Lightweight Injected Performance TPU Outsole
  • TOUR Flex Pro Cleats by Soft Spikes

A pivotal aspect of this partnership is Day’s equity ownership in PAYNTR Golf, underscoring his commitment to the brand’s mission. This goes far beyond a simple endorsement deal, as Day has played a key role in the design and development of the collection, ensuring it reflects both his personal preferences and his knowledge of what modern golfers need on the course.

Mike Forsey, Co-Founder and President of PAYNTR Golf, shared his excitement about the collection: “Jason has brought a fresh perspective and invaluable insights to this collaboration. His expertise and passion for the game are evident in every aspect of the Eighty Seven SC. This is more than just a golf shoe—it’s a game-changer that will raise the bar for what golfers can expect from their footwear.”

The Eighty Seven SC offers golfers a product that combines the best in performance technology with a timeless, classic aesthetic. With Day’s hands-on approach, the Eighty Seven SC stands out as a true reflection of his personal style and commitment to excellence.

“We have enjoyed every moment of the design process with Jason,” added Michael Glancy, Co-Founder and Creative Director of PAYNTR Golf. “Our goal from the very beginning was to create a shoe that offers golfers superior performance and style based on a classic-looking silo. We are confident golfers will feel the difference with the Eighty Seven SC

The Eighty Seven SC will be available at select retailers and online on October 1, 2024, for $220. Studio images can be found HERE. This is an essential addition to any golfer’s footwear lineup, offering the perfect balance of performance, comfort, and timeless style.
