JOB: Business Development Manager – Brookwater GC – QLD
About the business
Brookwater Golf & Country Club is Queensland’s Number One Public Access Golf Course located in the City of Greater Springfield. The Greg Norman-designed championship golf course offers an exciting and challenging opportunity for a dynamic Business Development Manager to join the team.
As Business Development Manager you are responsible for growing current group golf business, external round play, Corporate Membership and to proactively develop new relationships within the golf market throughout South-East Queensland and further afield. You will work closely with the General Manager and Golf Operations Team Leader to strengthen industry relationships and search out new partnerships that will benefit the business.
The applicant must be organised, proactive, self-motivated and hands-on, with the ability to work autonomously while communicating effectively and professionally. Working knowledge of Golf, Club Membership and events with the ability to understand the needs of corporate clients and members will be vital in this role.
The successful applicant will be selected on the following criteria:
- Demonstrated corporate sales experience
- Demonstrated excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build relationships with key stakeholders, new business relationships and members
- Strong operational focus on the member/corporate experience and quality assurance
- Proficient in organising and coordinating functions and corporate events
- Working knowledge of Golf
- Excellent organisational skills, maintaining and building databases and corporate contacts
- Experience in executing strategic sales and marketing plans, financial reporting, which includes forecasting and budgeting and weekly and monthly reporting
An appropriate remuneration package will be negotiated dependent upon experience.
