Royal Perth Golf Club (the Club) is one of Australia’s premium private golf clubs located only 5 minutes from the Perth CBD and situated adjacent to the Swan River in South Perth.
The Club is seeking to appoint an experienced General Manager to administer its operations which include, the golf course, a busy calendar of golf competitions, a membership base of over 1,500 and a first class food and beverage operation.
The General Manager will be responsible for the efficient and profitable operation of all aspects of the Club and its associated facilities, supported by over 50 staff.
The successful candidate will have proven experience in managing the day to day operations of a club environment (or similar), strategic planning and exceptional leadership abilities. The General Manager will work closely with the club’s management team and General Committee to deliver strategic initiatives.
Other requirements include a strong financial acumen and an understanding of:
- Golf Club Operations;
- Club licensing requirements;
- Club, Hotel and/or Restaurant management;
- Business administration and commercial business growth;
- Human Resources management.
Additional mandatory attributes required:
- Customer / Member service mindset;
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, negotiation and management skills.
Candidates will hold a degree in business management or other relevant qualification(s) and a minimum of 5 years’ experience in a senior management role. Demonstrable experience in golf administration and club operations will be highly regarded.
This is a salaried position which will require regular weekend work. Excellent working conditions are offered, and a competitive remuneration package will be negotiated.
