JOB: Senior Sales/Equipment Specialist – Victoria Park (Brisbane)
Victoria Park is home to Brisbane’s premier golfing facility. 364 days of the year, 6am-11pm our guests enjoy:
- playing golf on our USGA rated 18 hole (par 65) public golf course;
- lessons with our knowledgeable PGA & US LPGA professional golf instructors in our industry-leading Golf Learning Centre equipped with high speed cameras and Trackman technology analysis of ball flight and swing path;
- hitting balls on our 2 level floodlit 54 bay driving range;
- challenging family and friends to 18 holes of putt putt;
- the convenience of onsite golf club custom fitting, golf equipment repairs and alterations carried out by our team of qualified professionals;
- an extensive range of the world’s most iconic brands of golf equipment, hardware, apparel, footwear and golf merchandise;
Reporting to our Golf Shop Managers, we are seeking a qualified Golf Professional to work on a full-time basis, who is engaging and passionate; with extensive equipment knowledge and the ability to connect with customers to help them with their golfing needs; an exceptional eye for the detail and creative flair required to excel at visual merchandising and the drive to exceed sales targets set for golf equipment.
Key responsibilities include
• Delivering exceptional customer service
• Building and maintaining relationships with existing and new customers
• Managing our weekly equipment demo night schedule
• Driving equipment sales as well as contributing positively to the Golf Operations overall performance
• Responsible for visual merchandising of golf equipment
• Golf Learning Centre inventory control
• Assist with Pro Shop Equipment inventory control
• Assist with golf equipment repairs and alterations
• Partnering with our Apparel & Footwear Sales Leaders
• Product and Sales technique training and coaching of casual retail team members
• Assist marketing and the ops team to implement and successfully run sales events
Success in this role will require –
- Qualified knowledge and experience in the golf industry
- Engaging people skills – approachable, active listener and effective influencer
- Retail experience in a high volume, fast paced environment
- Self motivation and drive to exceed customer expectations
- Sound computer literacy with excel skills advantageous
- The ability to work across a variety of shift times including weekends and public holidays.
- The ability to work within a large team (Currently 43 including, 19 PGA Professionals & 2 PGA Associates)
Remuneration for this role will be commensurate to the qualifications and experience of the chosen candidate.
