New $7 million clubhouse opened at Sydney’s Pennant Hills Golf Club
On Saturday, 14th September 2019 Club President, Steve Walker, in front of 300 members and guests, officially opened the $7.0 million renovation to the clubhouse at Pennant Hills Golf Club. The Club, which is is the fourth oldest golf club in Sydney still playing on the same site, realised the need to provide an improved member amenity that additionally engaged with the local community. Planning for this project commenced in 2015 with work on the renovation starting in 2018 with the project completed in July 2019.
To celebrate the occasion members & their guests undertook a week-long celebration that culminated in a “Grand Opening” dinner dance. Other activities included golf competitions, card days, community open day and a family event that introduced the game of golf to one and all.
When asked about the renovations Mr Walker notes “The Club and its members are delighted with the final outcome. Our Club has long been a destination for the local community and we are very proud of what we now have to offer”.
General Manager, Barnaby Sumner, goes on to say “The future has never looked brighter for Pennant Hills Golf Club. With totally renovated event spaces, that capture stunning views of the course and adjacent bushland we have re-established ourselves as being the destination of choice in the Hills area”.
Future plans are already being formulated with the Club looking to embark on a course masterplan in the coming years that include enhanced practice and teaching facilities.
