PGA Professional – The Lakes Golf Club (Sydney)
The Club
The Lakes Golf Club is regarded as one of Australia’s leading private Member golf clubs with an international reputation for providing our Members and their guests with outstanding service and world class facilities. The Golf Club is located approximately 20 mins from the CBD in Sydney’s eastern suburbs, and has a rich history as one of Australia’s leading tournament venues, recently hosting the 2018 Australian Open.
The Role
We are currently looking for a PGA Professional to service the membership; working on a casual basis approximately 24 – 30 hours per week. The successful applicant will become an integral part of the golf operations team and report to the Director of Golf.
Essential Qualities:
-A positive attitude and a willingness to learn the policies and procedures followed by Staff at The Lakes.
-Display enthusiasm to provide five-star service to the Membership.
-Self-motivated and willing to work as part of a team
-Be able to work flexible hours including weekends
-Excellent people, communication and IT skills
-Excellent time management skills and well-presented
Duties:
The successful applicant will preferably have experience working in a high quality golf club including welcoming and checking in players, providing expert retail/product advice, opening and closing the golf shop and genuine experience in making people happy, because that’s our number one goal.
The successful applicant will be rewarded with an above Award wage rate that is reflective of their PGA status and experience, a complimentary meal each shift and access to our world class practice facilities and championship golf course.
