The Moranbah Golf Club (MGC) which was founded in 1971 is central to Moranbah’s Sporting Community. The club provides a vibrant multifaceted golf and entertainment venue for the community. The Golf Course is lush and green all year round and provides a challenge for all levels of golfer.
The Moranbah Golf Club is seeking a dynamic business professional to take control of the MGC Business and implement immediate operational plans to grow the business beyond the Pre-Covid19 business position. Given the strong mining community, it is expected that the club will recover very quickly once the doors fully re-opened.
This role would be ideal for an experienced business-focussed professional who is comfortable working in a regional community alongside a dynamic management committee and is keen to bring an innovative approach to enhance this exciting business.
Selection Criteria
- Ability to relocate, reside and integrate into a regional Queensland community.
- Demonstrate significant experience in managing a multi-faceted community sports club.
- Hold a Qld RSA, RSG, RMLV, Drivers Licence and Blue Card (Applicants can seek these)
- Demonstrated ability to work with integrity, mutual respect, accountability, energy, passion, and purpose and provide an innovative approach to workplace service design.
- Demonstrated ability in building and retaining a skilled and motivated workforce.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate with management committees and community organisations.
- Demonstrate excellent written, interpersonal communication and presentation skills.
- Demonstrate a high standard of personal presentation.
- Demonstrate an ability to provide outstanding service to members, visitors, families, and communities.
- Demonstrated hands-on experience with developing marketing plans and activating digital communication plans.
- Demonstrated ability to improve food and beverage revenues and enhance customer experiences.
- Demonstrated experience with growing a multifaceted sports business including the developing Cash Flow Budget Forecasts and workforce plans.
- Demonstrated working knowledge of Point of Sale Systems and Microsoft Programs (Excel/Word/Publisher/Outlook)
- Demonstrated ability to facilitate the maintenance and security of IT systems.
- Demonstrate a sound understanding of Work Health and Safety requirements.
