Maungakiekie Golf Club is one of inner Auckland’s leading golf clubs, widely recognised for its undulating tree lined course, friendly atmosphere, and innovative membership options.
Having experienced a 36% growth in membership over the past 5 years, MGC is seeking expressions of interest from suitably qualified, experienced and enthusiastic Course Superintendents to spearhead the course development team through the next phase of investment in Club improvements.
Leading a committed and experienced team and reporting to the General Manager, you will be responsible for the maintenance of the golf course and grounds to a first class standard, providing members and visitors with the best possible playing conditions, utilising staff, machinery and tools within the budgetary constraints set out by the Board of Directors. The ability to be innovative and experimental with turf care practices will suit a motivated individual keen to take on new challenges.
Skills required, but not limited to:
- Holding a level 4 national certificate in Turf Grass Management
- Good understanding of and experience in health and safety legislation and systems
- Ability to lead and motivate an existing team
- Good reporting and communication skills
- Growsafe and Approved Handler Certification
