Glenelg Golf Club has been providing members and guests with memorable experiences, since 1927.
Ideally situated on the Adelaide sandbelt, and only 15 minutes from the CBD and 5 minutes from the beach at Glenelg, this vibrant Club offers an immaculately presented and highly rated golf course, extensive practice facilities, and modern clubhouse with bar, bistro and award-winning function/event facilities. The Club is proud of its casual, relaxed and friendly atmosphere. It is very well positioned for growth and success.
The Club is now seeking a General Manager to lead it into a thriving future. You will be actively involved in all aspects of the Club, responsible for all operations, leading strategy development and execution, and driving the Club’s financial performance and position.
To be successful you will possess the following key performance attributes:
- Demonstrated leadership with a focus on delivering high-quality member and guest experiences by a high-performing service team;
- A proven record in successful club management, demonstrated by growing club membership, increasing revenue and delivering profitable outcomes;
- A strategic focus, with successful development and execution of strategic and annual business plans; and
- Be highly capable at financial, administration and compliance management.
Also, you will have a relevant tertiary qualification (such as finance, management, marketing or hospitality) and excellent organisational skills, with a willingness and versatility to work collaboratively with the Club’s committee, sub-committees and service team. It is essential that you are friendly, independent and motivated with strong communication and personal skills that match the Club’s culture. Experience or an interest in golf is essential.
An appropriate remuneration package will be offered commensurate with the role.
