Position Summary
Sanctuary Cove Golf and Country Club is looking for a part-time Payroll and Administration Officer to become an integral component of the Administration Team. The successful applicant will be responsible for weekly payroll services including all month-end related procedures. Other duties will include providing general administrative support to the Finance and Human Resources departments.
Job Duties
- Full autonomous management of weekly pay cycle for approximately 70 staff (including casuals)
- Administering changes e.g. rate changes, hours, allowances, deductions etc.
- Setting up new employees in the payroll system and lodging forms with the appropriate organisations, such as the ATO and superannuation funds
- Producing payroll reports including payroll journals and reconciliation, leave liability reconciliations and other special reports as requested
- Lodging forms and information with WorkCover Qld, TAFE and Registered Training Organisations (RTO) relating to employee remuneration
- Performing month end reconciliations including on group tax, payroll tax, superannuation
- Remitting superannuation to employees’ nominated funds on a monthly basis
- Performing cash book entries for group tax, superannuation and payroll tax
- Coaching managers and employees on the Enterprise Agreement and other pay-related matters
- Providing general administrative support to Finance, Human Resources, Membership Services and other areas as required
The successful applicant will be a confident, motivated individual and meet the following criteria:
- Several years’ experience in automated/electronic payroll computer systems (ideally TouchPoint)
- Experience in EA/award/legislation interpretation relating to employees and remuneration etc.
- Positive, proactive approach to duties, workload and planning with strong attention to detail
- Ability to think outside the square and identify process improvements
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- High level of proficiency in MS Office Suite, in particular, Excel
- Experience with Micropower is desirable
- Human Resources administration and JobKeeper experience is preferred
