SEEKING: General Manager – Keysborough Golf Club

POSTED ON October 3, 2018 @ 4:01 pm

Keysborough Golf Club has been providing members and guests with memorable experiences, since 1899.

Perfectly situated within Melbourne’s famous sandbelt courses, Keysborough offers an immaculately presented 18-hole championship golf course, practice facilities and clubhouse with accompanying hospitality and golf services.

The club is well-positioned for continued growth and success.  It is ideally located; has a diverse, friendly and welcoming membership; and continues to build its financial investment base.  Subject to Government approval the club is planning to re-locate nearby and build a new golf course, clubhouse and other complimentary facilities.  The timing for re-location is uncertain but could occur in the next 5-10 years.

The club is now seeking a new general manager to lead the club into a thriving future.  You will be actively involved in all aspects of the club and responsible for all operations.  Your priorities will be to develop a high-performing service team, provide the best experiences to members and guests, and to drive the club’s financial performance and position.

To be successful you will possess the following key performance attributes:

  • Demonstrated leadership – with a focus on delivering high-quality member and guest experiences by a high-performing service team;
  • Business acumen – with a proven record in growing club membership and profit from hospitality, functions and golf;
  • Strategic approach – including knowledge of relevant market trends and experience in strategic and annual business planning; and
  • Be highly capable at financial, administration and compliance management.

Also, you will have a relevant tertiary qualification and excellent organisational skills with a willingness and versatility to work collaboratively with the club’s committee, sub-committees, employees and contractors.  It is essential that you are friendly, independent and motivated with strong communication and personal skills that match the club’s culture.

Golf experience is desirable.  However, if you are currently employed outside the golf industry and possess the other key performance attributes as identified, then you are strongly encouraged to apply.

An appropriate remuneration package will be offered commensurate with the role.

Applications are being managed by WellPlayed Golf Business Consultancy and close Friday 19 October for immediate commencement.

Please e-mail your application, including an explanation of how your skills and experience satisfy the key performance attributes. Apply here
