The PGA IGI launches new Advanced Club Management Program

Golf club managers who are looking to take the next step in their career can now access a new club management qualification thanks to the PGA International Golf Institute (PGA IGI).

The PGA IGI Advanced Club Management Program incorporates the BSB61015 Advanced Diploma of Leadership and Management; a qualification that is ideal for anyone who is looking to advance into a top tier managerial position, or to validate their current skills and knowledge.

Developed in consultation with Golf Management Australia who has exclusively endorsed the program, the PGA IGI Advanced Club Management Program incorporates industry best practice for use in a club setting.

Covering a broad range of club management related subjects; the program’s content has been designed to reflect the educational needs of club managers in an ever-changing industry.

The PGA IGI Advanced Club Management Program focuses on the development of skills and knowledge required to be an effective manager in the club environment.

Geoff Stewart, General Manager of Education at the PGA of Australia, is delighted to see the PGA IGI expand its education and training offerings to the Australian golf industry.

Flexible online learning

The PGA IGI Advanced Club Management Program is fully an online program offering flexibility for those who are employed full time in the golf industry. This allows you to study at times that best suit you.

Delivered over two years, learning will focus on the skills and knowledge a Club Manager will use in their role when dealing with staff, members, boards and customers. These include:

  • Business, strategic and marketing planning
  • Staff management, development and change
  • Managing risk and compliance
  • Team leadership and employee relations
  • Financial management
  • Organisational change and development

How to apply

Students of the program can apply at suitable times that best suit their needs, with rolling monthly intakes.

Intakes dates each year for the Advanced Club Management Program are:

  • Monthly intakes
  • February to December
