Have you ever wanted to study a qualification in golf management, but struggled to find the time to attend classes each week?

With the PGA IGI Diploma of Golf Management now being delivered through E-Learning to students in Australia and across the globe, flexible online learning solutions are available to everyone.

The PGA International Golf Institute (PGA IGI) has been delivering Australia’s only Diploma of Golf Management since 2009 to students at its Gold Coast Campus. With a strong passion for golf, students at the PGA IGI have utilised the qualification as a stepping stone to a career in the golf industry.

Since launching the E-Learning study option one year ago, the PGA IGI has seen a new demographic of students commence Australia’s only Diploma of Golf Management.

“With E-Learning now available to students, we are seeing individuals commence study who would never have been in a position to study face to face for one year on the Gold Coast”, said Luke Bryden, PGA IGI Marketing and Student Recruitment Manager.

“Our students studying the Diploma of Golf Management range from those just graduating from high school to individuals with full time jobs looking for a career change.”

“We have also seen an increase of members working in the golf industry studying online, looking to enhance their knowledge of the golf industry for future career progression within the sport of golf,” explained Bryden.

The flexible E-Learning format of the Diploma of Golf Management allows individuals to study anywhere at any time, with all content and assessments for the qualification available online via the PGA of Australia’s E-Learning platform, The Fairway.

10459NAT Diploma of Golf Management is a nationally recognised qualification. The qualification focuses on the business, management and operations for the golf industry. It is a study program for individuals looking to broaden and further enhance their knowledge of all areas of golf.

The qualification delves in to areas of the golf industry such as:

  • golf operations
  • coordination of tournaments and events
  • junior golf development
  • food and beverage operations
  • golf club management
  • business management
  • staff management; and much more.

Not only does studying online provide greater opportunity for individuals across Australia to undertake study in the qualification, it allows individuals anywhere in the world to study with PGA IGI.

“We have seen golf industry members throughout Asia commence study in the qualification since it has become available online,” continued Bryden.

“E-Learning with the PGA IGI has enabled golf industry and PGA Members in countries such as Singapore, Hong Kong and Vietnam to enhance their skills set and knowledge for their career development in the global golf industry.”

The PGA IGI’s e-learning programs are ideal platforms for staff development, career progression or beginning a career in field you have a passion for. They offer flexibility for students, allowing you to study at times that best suit you, around work, family and life requirements.

New students can commence study at the beginning of each month with the PGA IGI’s monthly E-Learning intakes.

Program prospectus and application forms are available online at the PGA IGI Website.
