Ross Perrett/ Karrie Webb named as new architects for Indooroopilly GC

POSTED ON January 31, 2019 @ 4:44 pm

Indooroopilly Golf Club (QLD) is delighted to announce the appointment of Perrett Webb Pty Ltd as our new course architects.

Indooroopilly Golf Club aspires to be a world class facility and feels that the Perrett Webb team have the necessary skills, experience and credentials to be key participants in that long term journey.

“We are very excited about the new association with Perrett Webb – the enthusiasm and the course design vision that the Perrett Webb team are bringing to the Club, gives us enormous confidence and we are very much looking forward to the future development of our golf courses at Indooroopilly” said Club President Sam Christie.

This is really a dual announcement as this is the first joint project undertaken by the new Perrett Webb team combining one of Australia’s leading architects with one of Australia’s greatest players.

“To partner with one of our most successful Australian male golfers in Peter Thomson was an absolute delight. And now to work with our greatest ever female player is a dream come true” said Perrett. “We are thrilled to team up on our first project together and extremely excited to be appointed to redesign Indooroopilly Golf Club”.

In fact previously under the Thomson Perrett team, Karrie joined them as part of the Rio 2016 Olympic golf course bid reaching the final – so Ross and Karrie are good friends and enjoy working together.

With Karrie’s fulltime playing commitments slowing down, this now gives her time to focus on the next step in her career. Karrie is already assisting with the complete remodeling of Townsville Golf Club where she regularly played as a junior.

“ I am quite familiar with Indooroopilly Golf Club having played there many times as an amateur. To be selected with Ross Perrett to redesign the course as our first venture together is very humbling and something I will give my full attention to. I sincerely look forward to working with the Board to achieve our mutual goals”.
