JOB: Chief Executive Officer – The Kew Golf Club

POSTED ON July 11, 2023 @ 7:14 am

Apply your active leadership, progressive and strategic mindset, business acumen, together with your interest in golf, to ensure the ongoing success of The Kew Golf Club.

The Club

Located just 15 minutes from the Melbourne CBD, The Kew Golf club has been providing members with enriching and enjoyable golfing and social experiences, since 1894.

The club is ideally positioned for continued success.  It enjoys high demand for membership, a strong financial position, and is currently developing some compelling future strategic projects.

The Role

We are now seeking a new CEO to lead this vibrant club.  You will be actively involved in all aspects of the club and responsible for all operations.

Your priorities will be to lead, support and develop a high-performing team; effectively implement the club’s strategic projects; and ensure the efficient and effective operation of the club, with an emphasis on continuous improvement. The role demands a CEO with a desire to lead.

To be considered for the role you are likely to possess the following attributes:

  • Active leadership, with a focus on delivering high-quality member and guest experiences by a high-performing team – particularly hospitality.
  • Progressive and strategic mindset, with successful execution of accompanying strategic plans, and large-scale major projects.
  • Business acumen, including financial, governance, and compliance management.

It is essential that you are a friendly, independent and a highly motivated person with good communication and personal skills that match the club’s culture, with a presence to represent the club confidently and capably.  Experience in management of a member-focused business, with golf knowledge and/or experience, are essential.

If you are currently employed outside the golf industry, and possess the attributes as identified, then you are strongly encouraged to apply.

A competitive remuneration package will be negotiated with the successful candidate, commensurate with the role and your credentials.
