Position Summary
We are seeking an enthusiastic and service-oriented Assistant Golf Professional to join our golf operations team. This role supports the Head Golf Professional in all aspects of daily golf operations, member engagement, instruction, merchandising, and tournament execution.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in managing daily golf shop operations, tee sheets, and point-of-sale systems
- Provide exceptional member and guest service
- Conduct individual and group golf instruction clinics for juniors and adults
- Assist with planning and executing tournaments, leagues, and club events
- Support merchandising, inventory control, and retail displays
- Enforce club policies and pace-of-play standards
- Coordinate with outside services staff to ensure a seamless golf experience
- Maintain a professional and welcoming golf shop environment
Qualifications
- PGA Associate or PGA Member in good standing (preferred)
- Previous experience at a private, public, or resort golf facility
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Passion for teaching and player development
- Experience with golf management software (e.g., Golf Genius, MiCLub,)
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays
Preferred Skills
- Tournament operations and scoring experience
- Club fitting knowledge
- Junior golf program development
- Strong merchandising and retail sales skills
