Drummond Golf Cairns Named National Franchisee of the Year

POSTED ON March 5, 2026 @ 12:21 pm

Drummond Golf Cairns has been officially recognized as the premier performer in the network, taking home the prestigious Franchisee of the Year award at the national Drummond Golf gala.

The award, which evaluates excellence in customer service, technical fitting expertise, and community engagement, marks a significant milestone for the Cairns-based team. In a competitive field of over 50 locations nationwide, the Far North Queensland store stood out for its unwavering commitment to the local golfing community.

The leadership team at Drummond Golf Cairns was quick to credit the achievement to the culture of the storefront and the relentless work ethic of the staff.

“This recognition belongs to our entire team,” Darren Golder for Drummond Golf Cairns said. “Every fitting, every customer conversation, every early start and late finish — it’s the collective effort, passion, and commitment of our people that has brought us to this point.”

In recent years, the Cairns store has become a hub for golfers of all levels, known specifically for its “Big Stick” philosophy of expert advice and custom fitting. The award highlights the store’s success in blending high-tech golf solutions with a personalized, grassroots approach to retail.

“We’ve built something special here in Cairns. A team that genuinely cares about delivering expert advice, exceptional service, and a great experience for every golfer who walks through our doors,” the spokesperson continued.

The management also extended their gratitude to the local players who have made the store their primary destination for equipment and advice.

“To our staff — thank you for your dedication and professionalism. To our customers and the Cairns golfing community — thank you for your ongoing support and trust in us. We’re proud of how far we’ve come, and even more excited about what’s ahead.”

As the newly crowned Franchisee of the Year, Drummond Golf Cairns plans to build on this momentum with continued investment in the latest launch monitor technology and a renewed focus on supporting local golf clubs and tournaments across the region.
