JOB: Assistant Course Superintendent – Pacific Harbour Golf and Country Club
Pacific Harbour Golf & Country Club is seeking an experienced and motivated professional to join our team as Assistant Course Superintendent.
Conveniently located in the Moreton Bay region between Brisbane and the Sunshine Coast, and surrounded by the pristine national parks and wildlife of Bribie Island, Pacific Harbour Golf & Country Club is recognised as one of Queensland’s premier golf course destinations.

You will play a key role in the daily operation, long-term planning, and ongoing development of the golf course.
About the Role
Working closely with the Course Superintendent, the Assistant Course Superintendent will play an integral role in maintaining championship-standard playing surfaces and supporting the ongoing development of the course.
Key Responsibilities
Course Operations
- Plan, coordinate, and execute daily course maintenance activities and staff scheduling
- Assist in delivering consistently high presentation standards across all playing surfaces
- Support and implement course renovation and enhancement projects
- Ensure compliance with all WHS, environmental, and club policies
- Operate, monitor, and optimise irrigation systems to achieve optimal turf performance
- Assist in the management and maintenance of course machinery and assets
Leadership & Team Development
- Lead, mentor, and motivate the turf maintenance team
- Foster a professional, safety-focused, and positive working environment
- Communicate effectively with staff, management, contractors, and stakeholders
About You
We are seeking a proactive and motivated professional who thrives in a hands-on, fast-paced environment and takes pride in delivering exceptional golf course conditions.
The successful candidate will possess:
- Certificate IV (or higher) in Sports Turf Management or equivalent
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in senior greenkeeping or turf management roles
- AQF3 Chemical Application Licence
- Experience operating and maintaining Toro machinery and satellite irrigation systems
- Experience using WHS management platforms such as Toolbox Team or similar
- Competency operating excavators and tracked machinery
- Strong technical knowledge of agronomy, irrigation systems, machinery management, and sustainable turf practices
- Proven leadership and team development skills
