An experience like no other with Resorts World Sentosa Singapore at LIV Golf Singapore

POSTED ON June 8, 2023 @ 5:45 pm

It was certainly a week to remember as LIV Golf Singapore presented by Resorts World Sentosa Singapore (RWS) made a glorious debut at Asia’s premium award-winning lifestyle destination from 28 till 30 April 2023.

The Singapore stop was LIV Golf League’s fifth in the 2023 season, with RWS playing a pivotal role in delivering a week of action-packed events as the tournament’s presenting partner and official hotel.

The individual competition was won by American and RangeGoats GC star Talor Gooch after he defeated Spaniard and Fireballs GC captain Sergio Garcia in a playoff to become the first-ever back-to-back individual winner of the burgeoning golf league. Joining Gooch on stage to celebrate the team title were teammates Thomas Pieters, Harold Varner III and captain Bubba Watson of RangeGoats GC, who finished three strokes ahead of the Fireballs to claim their first team victory of the year.

LIV Golf Singapore presented by Resorts World Sentosa Singapore certainly lived up to its hype of being ‘Golf, But Louder’, with the impressive crowd thronging the Sentosa Golf Club treated to world-class action on the Serapong Course and an all-round entertainment experience off it.

Thanks to the specially curated ‘LIV Golf Week Experiences’ by RWS, both the LIV Golf stars and ticket holders alike could also indulge in the signature hospitality across its diverse range of luxurious thematic accommodation options, celebrated restaurants, and world-class attractions at the integrated resort.

On-site at the resort, a welcome party was hosted at The Coliseum at Hard Rock Hotel Singapore for all the LIV Golf players and guests to kickstart the event.

This was followed by another special guest event – a meet-and-greet and interview session conducted with LIV Golf Commissioner and CEO Greg Norman and team captains Ian Poulter, Bubba Watson and Dustin Johnson, at the limited-time only Van Gogh: The Immersive Experience at RWS’ B1 The Forum.

Also at RWS’ B1 The Forum, the “Longest Putt to LIV Golf” challenge took the limelight as almost 2,000 people, including some of the 48 LIV Golf stars, tried their luck at the 32-meter-long putting surface installed at RWS – the longest artificial golf putting green in Singapore.

Johnson, Poulter and Watson were among those who showcased their putting skills, but it was New Zealand’s Danny Lee, a member of Iron Heads GC and the winner of LIV Golf Tucson, who stole the show as he nailed his putt from 32 meters.

In all, there were 81 hole-in-ones across the 11 days that saw people from more than 30 cities around the world take part in the challenge.

RWS’ ground-breaking partnership with LIV Golf is a significant milestone for the premium integrated resort destination in the region. Both premier brands share a common goal of being the trailblazers in their respective sectors and are passionate about delivering exceptional experiences to their fans and target audiences.

Together with like-minded partners, RWS will continue to reimagine its offerings and provide guests with an unparalleled array of specially curated premium experiences that are second to none, establishing RWS as the world’s pre-eminent integrated resort destination.
