Anderson Leads AGIF Contingent at PGA of GB&I International Conference

POSTED ON November 9, 2019 @ 10:00 am

Asian Golf Industry Federation (AGIF) Vice President Rudy Anderson will make a keynote presentation at next week’s PGA of Great Britain and Ireland (GB&I) International Conference.

Anderson, President and Chief Executive Officer of Pacific Links International, is among the high-profile list of speakers participating in the third edition of the event at Laguna Phuket from November 10-13.

The event will comprise a variety of education seminars with expert speakers providing engaging sessions on topics designed to assist delegates in their business and career.

Following opening-morning welcome messages from Robert Maxfield, Chief Executive of the PGA, and AGIF CEO Eric Lynge, Anderson will tee-off formal proceedings with his presentation entitled The Evolution of the Club Industry in Asia.

For the first time, the Asian Golf Industry Federation is a Supporting Partner at the conference.

Lynge said: “The Federation is delighted to support the PGA of Great Britain and Ireland in this excellent initiative which has quickly become among the most important annual golfing gatherings in Asia.

“Given the make-up of the delegates, returning to the home of the first PGA-branded facility in Thailand and one of Asia’s finest fully-integrated resorts makes perfect sense.”

Maxfield added: “Laguna Phuket has been a wonderful host in the past two years and we’re delighted to be going back this year.

“This event provides PGA Members and golf industry executives from across the world with an educational platform to share their thoughts and learn from some of the most respected peers in the golf industry.”

Among them are numerous individuals who are associated with AGIF member companies.

Joining Anderson among the speakers are Gareth Knight, Regional Sales Manager, Southeast Asia and Indian Sub-continent, Toro, John Blanch, General Manager at Bangkok’s Thai Country Club, and Matt Roberts, PGA Golf Professional and 59Club Director of Training and Education.

Other speakers include Michael Braidwood, General Manager, Education City Golf Club, Mike Orloff, Managing Director, Golf Industry Central, Dominic Wall, Director Asia Pacific, The R&A, Yvonne De Suner Beltran, AVP – Experience Development, Banyan Tree Hotels and Resorts, and Dr Paul Hurrion, Director, Quintic Consultancy Limited.
