ASIA: State-of-the-Art PGA Academy Unveiled at Thai Venue

Pattaya, Thailand: A new state-of-the-art PGA of Great Britain and Ireland-accredited golf academy has opened its doors at the Chee Chan Golf Resort.

Located just outside Pattaya, Chee Chan Golf Resort opened in 2018.

The new PGA Academy is the latest addition to the facility, offering top-rated instruction and teaching technology. British PGA Professional Ewan Hogarth has been recruited to head up the new academy.

“The new PGA Academy at Chee Chan Golf Resort is a fantastic addition to the portfolio of PGA branded golf academies around the world, and the exceptional facilities available at the resort is a perfect match for the PGA brand,” said Robert Maxfield, Chief Executive of The PGA, an Executive Member of the Asian Golf Industry Federation (AGIF).

Chee Chan Golf Resort becomes part of the PGA family of branded facilities, joining a number of prestigious international venues including The Belfry in England and Gleneagles in Scotland.

IMG Golf Course Services provide golf management services to Chee Chan Golf Resort. “Chee Chan Golf Resort offers an exceptional golf experience. With the addition of the PGA Academy, our guests will now have access to first-class tuition and practice facilities that are some of the best in the region,” said Paul Burley, a PGA Master Professional and Senior Vice President, IMG, a Full Business Member of the AGIF.

IMG’s Golf Course Services team provides a diverse range of management and marketing services to more than 20 award-winning clubs and resorts.
